‘Here (There), Now (Then)’ is a catalogue for a fictional group show which brings together 4 artists living and working today in the United States, Africanus Okokon, Anne Wu, Aryana Minai and Carmen Winant. The four artists which this show brings together share more than geography and time. Each of them is preoccupied with forms of collective memory and how this collective memory is dispersed, shared and passed on, both through generations as well as transculturally. The catalogue includes work by Okokon, Wu, Minai and Winant, interviews with each of the artists and a essay entitled: “Can art make ‘individual’ memory collective?” by Maria Laura Candanoza-Hurtado.
